Arcadia's business is up for grabs by more than 40 buyers, including clothing giant Next Group

More than half a month after Arcadia, the former bellwether British Fashion retailer, declared bankruptcy, many companies have expressed interest in the Arcadia group's business.Arcadia is a large fashion retailer, with high street brands Topshop, Topman, Women's Clothing retailer Dorothy Perkins, plsize women's retailer Evans, and high street department store Miss Selfridge, among others.

A number of companies have expressed interest in the Arcadia group after the former bellwether British fashion retailer formally declared bankruptcy more than half a month ago.Arcadia is a large fashion retailer, with high street brands Topshop, Topman, women's clothing retailer Dorothy Perkins, plsize women's retailer Evans, and high street department store Miss Selfridge, among others.

Among the more coveted Brands are Boohoo, Frasers Group and Authentic Brands Group, with more than 40 potential buyers vying for Arcadia's Brands after the Group entered bankruptcy, according to foreign media reports.

Sky News recently reported that British clothing retailer Next may be interested in the Arcadia group business, saying that it is in talks with U.S. firm Davidson Kempner Capital Management to bid for Arcadia.In addition, Next talks with potential investment firms.The results will be announced shortly.

Although a number of companies have expressed interest in acquiring Arcadia's businesses, they have largely been unwilling to accept all of Arcadia's business.Most companies are only interested in one or two potential brands.Fashion e-commerce giant Boohoo Group is also a potential buyer for Arcadia, but the e-commerce giant has no interest in brick-and-mortar operations.This means that The Arcadia group's businesses will have to be cut off or its physical operations will be hard to keep.

Unlike them, Next, though about half of its business is online, is a bricks-and-mortar clothing company, and its profits are extremely high.Backed by capital, Next is trying to bid for most of Arcadia's business, and has indicated that it will keep a large number of Arcadia's physical stores.

When Arcadia group, a large British fashion retailer, declared bankruptcy, it was reported that a complete closure of the company would put 13,000 workers out of work and close about 500 stores.Next would probably do the most to save the day by buying Arcadia outright.
